Montezuma Castle
This five-story, 20-room cliff dwelling in the Verde Valley
 is one of the best preserved cliff dwellings in North America. and was inhabited by prehistoric Sinagua Indians over 600 years ago. Originally thought to be built by Aztec ruler Montezuma, the dwelling was actually abandoned 100 years before his birth.
